"Boomerang" is the third episode from the second season of the American comedy-drama web television series, Insatiable.

Synopsis[]

Patty finds an eating disorder sponsor and meets a significant person. Bob takes on a new client. Coralee encourages Bob Barnard to run for mayor.

Plot[]

(unfin) ... An unknown man shows up at Patty's house, claiming to be her father. Patty asks if he has been able to contact Angie, but neither of them have heard from her. Patty asks him to confirm his identity as her father, to which he offers to get a DNA test. He leaves the house and calls someone, mentioning his inability to get the car Angie stole from Gary. He says to the stranger on the phone that he will get the money he owes him from his daughter.

Meanwhile, Bob (Armstrong) wheels Dixie into an office to meet with Choi and his lawyer, who also happens to be paraplegic. After leaving the room with a foiled plan, Dixie cries to Bob about how she feels like she deserves to be paralyzed. Bob comes to a realization that if Dixie can change her karma, so can he.

Back at the Bladell house alone, Patty starts binging on peanut butter but quickly calls her sponsor, Dee. During their call, Patty convinces herself that knowing her father will solve her binge-eating. After returning to her date with Nonnie, Dee faces accusations from her. Nonnie leaves the restaurant before Dee makes a mysterious phone call.

Carolee and Regina spend time together at the hospital and talk about Dixie. The two women apologize to each other. Bob Barnard shows up at the hospital with flowers for Dixie and asks to speak to Carolee. Carolee convinces Bob to run for Mayor to be more involved with his daughter's case and make Masonville safer.

Patty opens a box belonging to her mom and finds some pictures of Angie and Gary. She finds restraining orders against her father, filed by her grandmother. She then gets a text from her father, asking to meet him at the park. Upon meeting him, Patty is gifted a bicycle.
